I recently bought a cheap and semi-broken Parker Fly. It feels like I spent my whole life writing with a pencil and I have just been given a pen. A pen that's almost out of ink, a pen that's missing the spring and jams on the retraction, a leaky pen. Far from a perfect example of a pen, but a pen none the less. I heard an interview where Ken Parker said he was inspired by the exoskeletons of the cicada and lobster. He also claimed to have lost $7,000 on every guitar he built. Thank you Mr. Parker for making these amazing instruments. I consider that money well spent.
